Canary Islanders Cemetery
Established prior to 1732 by islanders who formed first organized civil
settlement in Texas at San Fernando de Bexar, now San Antonio. Several Texas
families trace lineage from those colonists.
Off U.S. 181 some two blocks north at Texas 97/F.M. 536 intersection (Plum &
10th streets.).

Cycle Ranch Motocross Park
This 108-acre park draws bikers from all over the world for competition in
events such as the Western 4-Stroke Nationals. Includes main track that's 1.7
miles long and 30 feet wide, and it features peewee and junior tracks for
beginners. Camping available Fri. -Sat. Admission and camping fees.

Dewees Remschel House
Historic mansion, including period furnishings, houses museum history of
ranch, which played significant role in development of ranching in Wilson
County.

Wilson County Courthouse
Historic downtown is situation around stately courthouse, designed by famed
architect Alfred Giles and built in 1884.

Wilson County Jailhouse Museum
Built in 1887, located on courthouse square in historic downtown. Housed
prisoners and the sheriff and his family until mid-1970s.

Floresville Peanut Festival
Always held on the second weekend in October, the Peanut Festival is a grand
celebration to recognize the importance of the peanut to Southwest Texas
agriculture.  The hanging of peanut plants across the front of businesses heralds
the arrival of the season.
